INCLUDING THIS ONE:::

We are looking for 20-25 volunteers to help with the set-up of the stage for Culture Shock.
It is on Thursday April 26, starting at 7am. Shoes required - no flip flops/sandals. Wrenches and gloves welcomed!
No experience is required, although basic experience with stage or tech set-up preferred.
You don't need to come right at 7am, any and all help is welcomed.

FYI --- 

Due to the weather this past weekend and the incoming rain for the next 2 days, the main stage of Culture Shock will be held on the far side of Admissions Parking Lot to prevent lawn damage.

Side stage will still be held on Main Stage at the Stood.

EMA added to Culture Shock!


As you probably know, we had a last minute cancellation with Grimes for this year's Culture Shock. As unfortunate as this is, we have no choice but to move on with the festival, and we are proud to announce that her replacement on the lineup will be EMA!

EMA is the current project of Erika M. Anderson, formerly of the band Gowns. She released her debut LP as EMA, 'Past Life Martyred Saints,' last year on Souterrain Transmissions. The album draws equally from folk and noise rock, and is fronted by overtly honest lyrics that deal with abuse, sexuality, and death, among other topics. EMA's live show varies from start to finish, and at any given moment it can recall the intimacy of a folk singer, the raw energy of Nirvana, the stage antics of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, or some combination of the three.

We will hand out schedules of the set list at the Stood.
Your schedule is your ballot - circle a maximum of 5 bands to move on to Round 2.
Hand it in at the Stood desk.

The top 5 bands will move on to Round 2 on April 20
Voting will work the same way and the top 2 bands will play Culture Shock main stage at 6pm!


Paid for by your mandatory student activity fee!
