TWO CONFIRMED CULTURE SHOCK ARTISTS


Casey Veggies (http://caseyveggies.com/) is a young rapper from LA who has collaborated with Dom Kennedy, Pac Div, Odd Future, and others. He released his debut LP, 'Sleeping in Class,' in December 2010 and has spent the last year touring. He released the deluxe edition of 'Sleeping in Class,' which includes 5 bonus tracks, this past September and it's available on iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/sleeping-in-class-deluxe-edition/id466199619). Grimes (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Grimes/133232266718746) is the recording moniker of Claire Boucher, an experimental pop musician from Montreal. She released two albums in 2010, 'Geidi Primes' and 'Halifaxa,' and followed that last year with 'Darkbloom,' a split with d'Eon which lent the standout Grimes track, "Vanessa." Now, after having recently announced her signing with 4AD (Pixies, The National, St. Vincent), she'll release her first album for the label, 'Visions,' which is due out on February 21.
